Suitable for all levels, focusing on both inner and outer strength, our dynamic yoga classes use breath as the link between
body and mind. Our Vinyasa flow classes begin slowly, building on each posture, taking you through an energizing
cardiovascular workout, core concentration or challenge pose, followed by a needed deep stretch, tension release, meditation,
and lastly, a yogi massage.
Bringing more awareness to the breath, you will build strength, concentration, balance, and confidence during class. After the 90 minutes of practice, you will find that the postures, and breath work that accompanies them, bring together mind, body, and soul - lifting the spirit. Feeling both energized and peaceful, you will leave class feeling renewed with new life and positive energy, wanting to share it with the rest of the world.
Focusing on subtle anatomy and individualized practice, Yogi Colleen tailors each class to meet the unique needs of students. With over five years of teaching experience at hot and traditional yoga studios, Colleen's class aims to conquer both mental and physical blocks, challenging the mind and body while aiding in overcoming fears, limitations, and illness. Guiding students through their practice, Colleen's classes result in both an emotional and physical release that many claim have changed their lives for the better. Having been told on many occasions by students that they never liked yoga until taking her class, Colleen is motivated by helping people from all walks of life discover yoga, unlocking their full potential and greatest self.
Julie is a free-spirited and compassionate lover of self-expressive truth. She sees yoga as an art form as well as an opportunity to express, through deep self-inquiry, what sometimes cannot be verbalized in words; completing 500+ hours of training while studying at Yoga to the People, with Rusty Wells and Saul David Raye. She is trained in Vinyasa yoga (the linking of body movement with breath) and creates a rhythmic, creative class that includes breath work, movement, meditation, and groovy beats! Having developed a keen understanding of how to guide people beneath the skin, she encourages one's journey to connect with their soul Self through feeling deeply and breathing fully. Her classes focus on embracing all that arises from within the heart as she offers a safe non-judgmental space to release long held physical and emotional tension. Passionate about guiding people to their inner source of light and strength, she mindfully holds space for her students so they may continue on into the world from a place of peace. She teaches throughout San Francisco in various studios, gyms, and offices. Julie is currently in graduate school at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco to become a licensed Somatic Psychotherapist.
